Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for Postgraduate Research Studentships to work at the Clean Energy Research Laboratory, University of Jaffna and Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, Norway.
Selected candidates will be required to register and work full-time towards an MPhil degree in Physics at the University of Jaffna. The role involves conducting research on nanomaterials for clean energy and/or health applications, preparing progress reports and research publications, and supporting research supervisors in all project-related activities.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
(a) A Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Physics with a minimum GPA of 3.0,
OR
(b) A Bachelor of Science degree with Physics as a subject and an MSc in Material Physics.
Candidates awaiting the results of their final Honours degree examinations in Physics, with a current GPA of not less than 3.0, are also eligible to apply, provided that the grades are certified by the relevant authority.
Priority will be given to the applicants who experience in research involving advanced materials for clean energy and/or health-related applications.
Remuneration:
Rs. 60,000/- per month (fixed)
MPhil registration fee can be reimbursed.
Duration:
24 months (two years)
Based on satisfactory performance, candidates will be eligible for a scholarship to undertake research for up to one year at the laboratories of the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences, Norway.
